Julia E. Sturtevant autograph album, 1881-1886.

This volume contains autographs, sentimental verse, expressions of friendship, and other notes written between 1881 and 1886. The most notable signature is that of Alexander H. Stephens, February 17, 1883; it is the third signature in the book. Stephens served as Vice-President of the Confederate States under Jefferson Davis and was a prominent Georgian politician both before and after the Civil War until his death in 1883. An unidentified photograph is inserted in the book.
